The 4000 series range of “True” 2 wire colour videokits with proximity (ESVKX series), are available as flush or surface kits with a choice of 4 different videophone options from the 6200, 6300, 6400 and 6700 series range.
Installations couldn’t be easier thanks to the common 2 wire BUS system (VX2300) using two non-polarity twisted pair wires (the system does not require coaxial cable). The videokits are ideal for small scale “1-to-1” installations or low-rise apartment blocks (up to a total of 12 apartments max. with the inclusion of additional 4000 series button expansion modules), but can also be expanded up to a maximum of 8 entrances where additional 2301N multiple entrance switchers are required.
The ESVKX series videokits are available as 1 or 2 button 4000 series colour videokits where the flexible design allows for up to a total of 4 videophones per call button with the facility for intercommunication between the videophones in the same apartment or intercommunication between videophones in different apartments.
Other key features of the videokit include: adjustable call tone, conversation time and microphone and speaker volume adjustments, selectable camera recall including external camera input. The combined speaker and camera module (4333X-1 or 4333X-2) entry panel has a built-in colour camera with white illumination LED’s that provides the best quality picture in any lighting condition. It also includes a built-in proximity reader (located behind the panel’s nameplate window) which is capable of storing up to 50 user keyfobs. It also has a lock release relay (C, NO and NC) with selectable capacitor discharge, push to exit input, call progress reassurance tones and DDA compliant call progress LED’s: BUSY, CALL, SPEAK and DOOR OPEN.

Our ever expanding range of videokits is due to our policy of continued product improvement and new product development. Videx videokits are not only identified by their modern design, but most now also incorporate the latest microprocessor technology used in larger systems. The same technology has also been incorporated in the design of the 4000 and 8000 Series range of door panels.
All Videx 4000 and 8000 Series videokits now offer an extended range of functions which include, intercommunication facility (between videophones in the same apartment or among those in different apartments), timed privacy with an LED indication, door montioring, visual and audio call progress indications to confirm system operation, inputs for “push to exit”, options for multiple entrances (up to 4 entrances for the VK4K, VK8K and VR4K series and up to 8 entrances for the ESVKX and ESVKC series). The VK4K, VK8K and VR4K series videokits use a common 6 wire BUS (4 wires for the power and speech connections and a twisted pair for the non-coax balanced video signal) and in the case of the ESVKX and ESVKC series a common “true” 2 wire (twisted pair) BUS that carries all signals.
All kits in the 4000 and 8000 range are also available with an optional codelock allowing users to open the door by entering their access code. A proximity key reader option is also available for the 4000 Series range (where the user can open the door by presenting their proximity fob/card to the reader) and in the case of the ESVKX series the proximity reader is built into the speaker/camera module.
All videokits use colour cameras, are flush or surface mounted and are available in various finishes.
