A range of emergency door releases (EDR’s) to provide a physical method of unlocking an electronic lock in the event of an emergency.
Emergency door releases (EDR’s) are generally fitted where there is no manual method to permanently release an electronically locked door in the event of an emergency. These units are normally electrically connected in line (series) with “fail safe” locks, to remove power to the lock when the unit is activated.
The EM201 is a double pole resettable EDR. Pressing on the front face will cause the plastic plate to drop and operate the micro switch. The plate will remain in the dropped position until the unit is reset by means of a key.
