For a business park in Huddersfield, a new solution was needed to make for easier access and remove the need for people to leave their vehicles.
Background to the project:
KLH Gates & Automation Ltd., had a customer based at a business park in Huddersfield. They had one set of swing gates to secure the site on a night and then a barrier to restrict access to the site via vehicles only.
The barriers used induction loops on both entrance and exit of the site, and the gate was held open though the day via a third party timer once closed on a night the they was access to the site though two proximity readers. Any person entering the site out of normal working hours would have to get out of their vehicle, present the fob and return to vehicle to gain entry.
The solution:
A new solution was needed to make for easier access and not having to leave their vehicles. To also give management an event log for who is accessing the business park for entry.
KLH worked with Rolling Center and chose the PAL SG304GB-WR (using both relays) to work alongside the swing gates and barrier.
The result:
To date there are over 120 users with access to the facility
1 relay is used for a timer, allowing free access through the gate during business hours. Vehicle would approach and trigger the induction loop, this then opens the barrier and shuts via automatic closing.
2nd relay is used for authorised access during out of hours through the swing gate. The barrier is left open during these hours
"One of the great features the SG304GB-WR has through the web portal is easy control of the timer. Calendars with bank holidays can be pre loaded and amended to suit the customers needs, ensuring their site is left secure." - KLH Gates & Automation Ltd.
